Below are some events geared toward parents and families of Illinois State University.

Preview
While attending Preview, students will have the opportunity to meet with their academic advisor, register for classes, meet current Illinois State students and their future classmates, interact with faculty and staff from various academic departments, and receive their Redbird ID card.

Welcome Week
Following your participation at Preview or Transfer Days, Welcome Week is your next step in preparing for life at Illinois State. Welcome Week is both for incoming freshmen and transfer students.

Transfer Registration and Orientation Day
All students who make an appointment to attend a Transfer Registration and Orientation Day are guaranteed the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, attend an Academic Information Session with campus representatives, and register for classes. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in an Information Fair, tour the campus, and obtain their Redbird ID card.

Homecoming
Each year students, families, and alumni of Illinois State University gather and celebrate Homecoming with events, tailgating, and a parade.

Family Weekend is an opportunity for families and students to experience Illinois State University together.

Send your student's siblings to campus to check out all of the fun activities available during Sibling Weekend at Illinois State! We have activities planned for all age groups.
